Sellick Partnership are delighted to be partnering with a very well known, well respected multi-national professional services business based in Newcastle upon Tyne to recruit for a Supplier Risk Manager on a permanent basis.

The Supplier Risk Manager will be joining a procurement function that provides strategic/ commercial support and advise to its stakeholders across the globe. The role will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of the organisations risk management strategy and approach, collaborating with stakeholder groups regarding framework implementation and providing training to contract managers and other internal colleagues.

Responsibilities:

  • Act of the SME across all things supplier risk and supplier management.
  • Provide best practice advice and guidance across all global offices.
  • Responsible for grading of suppliers annually to ensure management and oversight is provided especially around high-risk suppliers.
  • Drive and be responsible for the strategy around risk management and business approach.
  • Ensure that appropriate controls are implemented and in place to align with minimum acceptable standards and policies, to include reporting and monitoring.
  • Use of data analytics to drive and identify better value and to support risk management and sustainability reporting.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally someone from an internal risk control, governance and assurance background with some understanding of the procurement function.
  • Good knowledge and evidence of implementing supplier risk management programmes.
  • Understanding of best practice ideally within procurement and its application in an comparable organisation or an understanding of the part procurement plays.
  • Understanding of risk management principles including data privacy, financial risk, information security, modern slavery…
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
