Our client is lookig for a rapid contracts engineer / PM due to growth, the role involves overseeing the clients' requests for mechanical fire suppression services, from the initial inquiry stage to the completion of the project, typically up to a value of £500k. The main objectives include providing cost estimates, gathering design specifications, managing the project on-site, including health and safety measures, and compiling all necessary documentation upon project completion. The position which operates a hybrid or remote working scheme, but the role may require travel to various locations nationwide as needed. A positive and collaborative attitude is essential, as the Rapid Contract team collaborates with all aspects of the business, particularly the service team, main sales team, business development, procurement, finance, pre-construction, design, and operations.

  • Excellent communication skills to provide exceptional customer service
  • Respond to customer inquiries, compile quotes, and present them to the customer for consideration
  • Use and regularly update the company's CRM (Freshsales) to maintain an accurate opportunity pipeline
  • Plan and deploy resources appropriately to ensure projects are delivered on time and within estimate
  • Create a program of works for all active contracts, ensuring all stakeholders understand timelines and key dates
  • Gather accurate design specifications and coordinate with other services such as lighting and ducting etc
  • Procure necessary materials. labour, access, and other items required for the project supported by our procurement team
  • Responsible for preparing and maintaining pre-start health and safety documentation. including method statements, risk assessments, and COSHH assessments supported by our HSEQ team
  • Ensure all employees, sub-contractors, and suppliers comply with health and safety regulations and contract requirements on site
  • Deliver and manage contracts within agreed authority and department budgets and margins
  • Resolve any issues and prepare necessary reports regarding the projects under your ownership
  • Conduct regular site meetings with key personnel to update, inform, and monitor contract progress and build strong working relationships
  • Compile completion documentation and submit to the client after project completion and commissioning in line with LPS 1048 requirements
  • At all times, taking into consideration the customer experience to demonstrate Alpine core values and competencies and escalate any issues as and when required
  • Invoice for completed work in line with pre-agreed payment terms
  • Undertake any other reasonable requests as required
PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
  • Collate assigned quotes.
  • Complete jobs financially well.
  • Project reviews monthly with cost to completes updated regularly throughout each project duration
  • Production of weekly reports & forecasting
