Cornish Lithium are seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative Information Technology Administrator. This position will be based at the Tremough Innovation Centre, Penryn, TR10 9TA.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will effectively support and maintain the IT operations and services of Cornish Lithium across all sites via coordination of supporting services and project management. This role reports directly to the IT Manager.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • To maintain a working relationship between the Managed Service Provider and Cornish Lithium
  • To plan, implement and maintain IT focused projects on behalf of the company
  • To act as the first line of support for Cornish Lithium staff and escalate to the IT Manager or MSP as required.
  • To provide out of hours support/assistance to Cornish Lithium employees when required
  • To stay aware of emerging technologies and their potential use cases on behalf of the company
  • To manage technological risk across the company, as the needs of the business grow.
  • To maintain an agile working schedule ensuring availability across all sites as needed

We would welcome applicants with the following attributes:

Microsoft fundamentals accreditation or CompTIA certification

Full clean UK driving license and use of own vehicle for business purposes.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • A good understating of network fundamentals TCP/IP/OSI and basic routing protocols
  • 24 months experience in an IT supporting services role, or equivalent
  • Understating of business continuity good practice guidelines
  • Knowledge of digital trends/emerging threats
  • Knowledge of UK GDPR and its importance to business information.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once/handle multiple requests in a timely manner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with staff at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to work on own initiative, pro-active.
  • Flexible mindset and can-do attitude

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • (Desired) additional vendor accreditations (Microsoft, Apple, Egnyte, Unify, Sophos etc.)
  • (Desired) a background in project management and an understating of active project life cycles
  • (Desired) understanding of the ITIL framework
