About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Administrator to join our team at the Institute of Photography, an academic department that teaches Photography and Visual Communication. This exciting and varied role involves providing administrative support to academics and students across the courses, including purchasing, Visiting Lecturer contracting, travel, and accommodation bookings for staff and student study visits.

This role requires a customer-focused, flexible approach, and the ability to prioritise workload to adapt to variations in demand. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of undertaking a wide range of administrative duties, be proficient in utilising Microsoft Office applications, and be able to demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for tasks and deliver according to deadlines.

About You

The successful candidate will possess basic project management knowledge/skills and strong organisational, problem-solving, and time management skills. We are also looking for candidates with the following skills/experience:

  • Previous experience of working in a customer-focused environment, including the provision of advice and guidance.
  • Experience booking complex travel itineraries.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills, enabling effective communication with colleagues, students, and external contacts.
  • Proven ability to convey information in a clear and accurate manner and a desire to resolve issues.
  • Flexible approach to daily duties and responsibilities.
