Specialist Clinician - Trauma Psychotherapist (18 Month FTC)

The Tavistock Trauma Service is an innovative, multi-modal specialist service offering group and individual therapy as a part of a phase-based approach to complex trauma. We have a specialist arm for non-recent (historical) child sexual abuse as well as working with other forms of developmental and adult traumas.
We are looking for a psychodynamic/ psychoanalytic psychotherapistto initially take up a 18 month fixed term role within the service. We are hoping to secure permanent funding for this post during the next year.

Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic, Disabled people or LGBT+. The role will primarily involve offering consultation and psychotherapy to patients who have experienced complex trauma.
The post-holder will also support service development projects, as well as offering screening appointments, facilitating psychoeducation groups and with peer support in the service. The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust is a specialist mental health trust with a focus on training and education alongside a full range of mental health services and psychological therapies for children and their families, young people and adults.

High level of skill and knowledge in safeguarding and risk management
A comprehensive understanding of the changing NHS and Social Care environment and the challenges they face

Experience Facilitating therapy groups
Some experience of involvement in project work e.g. quality improvement
Understanding of principles and methods of clinical audit, research and service evaluation
