**About the Role**:

- As a Mental Wellbeing Practitioner, you'll deliver vital counselling and therapeutic support to young people aged 12-19 (12-25 with SEND) in Lewisham. Working closely with our dedicated team, you'll ensure high-quality clinical practice and contribute to safeguarding efforts.
- Key Responsibilities:_
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and clinical work with young people
- Collaborate with youth work staff to identify potential referrals
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding procedures and policies
- Provide regular progress reports and evaluate outcomes
- We're seeking someone who holds a recognised clinical qualification (counselling, psychotherapy, or clinical psychology), has experience working therapeutically with young people, and demonstrates a commitment to equality and diversity.
- You will also be able to meet the following:

- Membership in professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS, BPS, HCPC)
- Familiar with safeguarding and child protection, committed to youth safety
- Supports Youth First's equality, diversity, and inclusion policy
- Proficient in BACP Ethical Framework
- Skilled in risk assessments, clinical evaluations, and casework reviews
- Proactively reports safeguarding concerns
- Committed to enhancing service quality and project implementation
- Builds effective relationships via clear communication
- Produces insightful reports using data analysis
- Strong communicator, especially with senior management
- Competent in Microsoft Office and data systems
- Knowledgeable about relevant legislation
- Understand trauma-informed practices, suggesting supervision improvements.
