West Lancashire Lancashire, United Kingdom Blue Oak Recruitment Full time

Health & Safety Manager This job is like starting from scratch. It’s a new position, within a well-established manufacturing facility, but with nobody in a senior H&S role, processes lack accountability and there is a tendency to be reactive rather than proactive. Your role is to raise the standards across the business and develop robust procedures designed to deliver, safety and consistency. You’ll work closely with the operational team to increase knowledge and awareness, you’ll pick apart the current systems and processes, identify what is and isn’t working and by engaging the people at every stage, you’ll bring them with you to foster a safety-first culture. You’ll identify risks and educate on safe working practices. Implement risk assessments, investigate near misses like a dog with a bone, manage permits, create site H&S induction. Pretty much everything you would expect in a Health and Safety leadership role. They are looking for someone with a solid Health & Safety background who has honed their skills in a manufacturing environment. You’ll have operated at a similar level and have a NEBOSH qualification to back up your experience. If this sounds like your next move, you can apply via the link below and we will be in touch. Salary is circa £45k-£50k. Good Luck
