United Kingdom Cerebra (Charity) Full time

About Us:

Cerebra is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of children with brain conditions and their families. We provide a range of support services, including information, advice, and practical support, to help families navigate the challenges associated with neurological disorders.

Cerebra also funds research to advance the understanding and treatment of brain conditions, promotes awareness, and advocates for better services and support systems. Our unique innovations, like the specialist equipment loan service and the sleep service, are designed to enhance the quality of life for children with brain-related disabilities and their families.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a passionate and driven Corporate Partnerships Coordinator to join the Business Development team to help us build strong partnerships with our current and future corporate donors.

As a Corporate Partnerships Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in our fundraising efforts by researching and identifying potential corporate partners, creating and developing compelling pitch decks, and writing funding applications. Working closely with the Business Development Manager, fundraising and communications teams, you will create innovative methods & strategies for engaging companies to maximise corporate giving.

Location:  Whilst this role is remote, there will be a requirement to regularly attend meetings at our office in South Wales. We are ideally seeking a candidate who lives within a 2 hour commute of Swansea.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and Identification: Conduct thorough research to identify potential corporate donors, foundations, sponsors, and partners that align with our charity’s mission and values.
  • Fundraising Strategy:  Develop and implement strategies to approach and engage with companies, focusing on building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Pitch Deck Preparation:  Create persuasive and visually appealing pitch decks and presentations tailored to specific corporate prospects, highlighting the impact of potential partnerships.
  • Relationship Building:  Support the Business Development Manager to build and maintain strong relationships with corporate contacts, providing regular updates and reports on the impact of their contributions.
  • Writing applications:  Support the Business Development Manager to submit grant applications to appropriate donors.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including fundraising, marketing, and program staff, to develop tailored proposals and presentations that align with organisational priorities.
  • Tracking and Reporting:  Maintain accurate records of corporate engagement activities and prepare reports on fundraising progress, including successes and areas for improvement.
  • Event Support:  Assist in the planning and execution of corporate fundraising events and initiatives, ensuring successful outcomes and donor satisfaction.
  • Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and best practices in corporate fundraising to inform strategies and approaches.

Qualifications:

  • Experience:
  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, marketing, or a related field, preferably within a non-profit or charity environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale events.
  • Skills:
  • Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and assess potential corporate partners.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience creating compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, and familiarity with design software (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with corporate partners and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly organised, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for making a difference through charitable work.
  • Attributes:
  • Passion for the mission of Cerebra and a commitment to supporting children with neurological conditions.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility to travel and work evenings/weekends as required.

Additional information:

This job description outlines the general nature and key responsibilities of the position. It is not an exhaustive list of all duties and responsibilities. Cerebra reserves the right to amend and change responsibilities to meet organisational needs as necessary.

Cerebra is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
