National Account Manager

Are you a seasoned Account Manager with a solid background in FMCG sales?

Do you excel at building and nurturing relationships with major UK retailers?

Are you ready to take charge of your account portfolio and drive substantial category growth?

MacGregor Black is collaborating with a leading Food Manufacturer to find a talented National Account Manager with experience in the Grocery sector. This permanent, hybrid position requires some travel.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute strategic growth plans in collaboration with the Category team to boost product distribution across key accounts.
  • Fully manage your account portfolio, aiming to exceed Net Sales Value and Gross Margin KPIs.
  • Analyse performance data with the Category team to identify opportunities for category expansion.
  • Work with the Marketing team to create and implement shopper and trade marketing strategies that enhance brand visibility and increase sales.
  • Identify market opportunities for new product development and collaborate with commercial colleagues to introduce innovative concepts.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 3 years in a similar account management role or as a Junior NAM, with a proven growth mindset and achievements.
  • Strong expertise in FMCG negotiations, structured selling, and managing buyer relationships, with the ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships.
  • Exceptional skills in managing multiple stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication, and thriving in a small team environment with high responsibility.

Salary up to £70k plus benefits package

Hybrid working arrangement with required travel.
