COMMERCIAL DEPARTMENT

This newly created position will have input for the development of the partnership and sponsorship strategy. The role will also involve managing innovative, multi-year, high-value sponsorships and partners for a number of well-known brands.

This role sits within the partnerships team but requires a collaborative approach to working due to the number of departments required to create and deliver a longer-term strategy.

JOB PURPOSE

To develop and manage partnerships for major events and the wider business.

This role will involve identifying new sponsorship opportunities, negotiating partnerships, and ensuring the successful delivery of partnership rights and activations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Account Management: Oversee the management of existing partnerships, ensuring that partner rights are delivered effectively and in accordance with contractual obligations.
  • Business Development: Proactively identify new sponsorship opportunities and potential partners, conduct market research, and develop compelling partnership proposals.
  • Negotiation: Lead negotiations with prospective partners, ensuring that partnerships are mutually beneficial and align with the strategic goals of SCL.
  • Rights Delivery: Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure the timely and effective delivery of partnership rights and activations.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on partnership performance, including key metrics, activations, and recommendations for future growth.
  • Budget: Responsible for key areas of the partnership budget
  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with partners, internal stakeholders, and industry contacts.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Revenue: Drive revenue for the business through meaningful partnerships
  • Rights Delivery: Ensuring best in class rights delivery for all partners
  • Relationships: Create and nurture relationships to ensure they remain fruitful for all
  • Recruitment: Work with the Head of Partnerships to identify, pursue and secure strategic partnerships to enhance the visibility and profitability of Silverstone.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments (e.g., marketing, sales, events) to ensure the successful execution of partnership initiatives.
  • Rights Holder Relationships: Liaising with key Rights Holders, for example Formula One Management & Dorna, to ensure smooth delivery of events and activations

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Proven experience in sports sponsorship account management or a related field.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint and Excel.

Knowledge of motorsport or a related industry is desirable.
