Business Development Manager

The role of Business Development Manager - Partnership Growth at SME Business Awards involves developing our range of national business awards, including the National Business Women's Awards and the National Building & Construction Awards. You will be joining a small, dedicated team and working closely with key stakeholders to expand our operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in B2B sales, partnership sales, or media sales, and will be able to cold call and generate new leads and enquiries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a sales strategy to increase revenue and expand our customer base
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Identify new business opportunities and develop targeted sales plans to capture them
- Manage and maintain accurate sales data and KPIs to inform sales strategies
- Work closely with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns to support sales efforts
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in sales, partnership sales, or media sales
- Strong sales and business development skills, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Stable career history and a clean driving licence
This is a competitive salary with a generous commission structure, and a clear progression and development plan. There is a significant potential to realistically earn up to £60k within the first year.
