The EMEA Enterprise Data Management Central Data Steward reports directly to the EMEA Technology Solution Architecture Director and holds responsibility for overseeing the Master Data Management platform. Key focus areas include operational management, exception handling, and roadmap development for reference data enhancement. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the companies Enterprise Reference Data framework, collaborating closely with Data Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in Finance, HR, and Operations throughout the region.
4-5 years of experience in a role emphasizing project management, coordination, or similar areas.
~ Exposure to data management and governance is helpful but not obligatory.
~ Previous involvement in supporting large-scale projects or transformation initiatives.
~ Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Communication, or a related discipline.
Additional certifications in project management or leadership (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are beneficial.
Extra certifications in data management or associated fields are advantageous.
Familiarity with data protection regulations (such as GDPR) is advantageous.
Dedication to continuous professional development in business and management.
Lead the product ownership role for the MDM (Master Data Management) tool, with a focus on managing enterprise reference data.
Ensure operational efficiency of the MDM system by conducting regular monitoring.
Take charge of the European Operational Data Board, including preparation of materials, stakeholder liaison, and documentation of decisions.
Collaborate with in-country Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and data stewards to develop and implement data quality work packages.
Establish yourself as the primary enterprise data Subject Matter Expert (SME).
Advocate for data management best practices and continuous improvement.
Coordinate with various departments to integrate and streamline data processes.
Support major transformation initiatives, maximizing impact with minimal resources.
