Our Head Office functions offer support and direction on policy and best practices in service delivery, finance, human resources, and marketing.
Job Description
As the Cleaning Services Manager, you will be responsible for managing the service to meet and exceed performance targets while maintaining day-to-day liaison with the client.
You will provide direction, guidance, and support to all ISS staff, ensuring they can effectively carry out their roles.
Your responsibilities include completing all relevant documentation, maintaining accurate records for company systems, and overseeing processes related to sickness procedures, quality monitoring, food hygiene, training, and staff performance monitoring.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide direction, guidance and support to all ISS staff and to ensure they are able to carry out their role effectively
- Complete all relevant documentation and maintain accurate records for company systems including, sickness procedures, quality monitoring, food hygiene, training and staff performance monitoring
- Assist in the collation and completion of all Company reports and documentation in relation to the Services provided within the agreed timescales
- Control and monitor sickness levels within Contract and ensure that P&C processes are followed in managing sickness and absenteeism
- Create, maintain and enhance effective working relationships with all major stakeholders (colleagues, patients, visitors, PFI Partners & Trust Staff) in line with best practice, in order to ensure satisfaction with our service & to demonstrate commitment to our long-term presence within the Trust
- Plan, allocate and evaluate work carried out by individuals under the positions control in conjunction with managing annual leave requests and service demand while meeting the required target hours
- Manage and evaluate objectives and targets for the service as outlined in the business plan. Participate in the preparation of plans, budgets and forecasts
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Management Degree or Higher Level Diploma and skill based qualification or equivalent
- BICS trained
- Previous experience in managing a service contract
- Sound knowledge of equipment and Health and Safety
- Previous experience in labour management
- Previous experience in financial accounting
- Experience of working with Trade Unions
