Full job description We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Safety Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential hazards and implementing effective safety measures. *Duties*
  • Develop and implement comprehensive safety programmes and policies in compliance with legal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  • Facilitate training sessions for employees on safety practices, including first aid procedures.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, performing root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences.
  • Prepare detailed reports on safety performance, incidents, and compliance with regulations.
  • Collaborate with management to promote a culture of safety within the organisation.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety training, incidents, and compliance documentation.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and changes in legislation related to workplace safety.
*Qualifications*
  • Proven experience as a Safety Manager or similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent report writing skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation.
  • Certification in first aid is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in conducting risk assessments and implementing corrective actions based on findings.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.
