Role Overview:

As the Co-Founder and Technical Lead for Circles, you will be responsible for designing, coding, and building the app from the ground up. This is an equity-only role until we secure revenue or raise funding, and you will play a crucial part in shaping the future of Circles. You will collaborate closely with the founding team to bring the vision of Circles to life and ensure a seamless user experience that blends high-end design with powerful functionality.

Key Responsibilities:

- Product Design & User Experience:

Design the user experience and interface of the Circles app, ensuring a seamless, user-friendly, and visually appealing platform. Your design must appeal to professionals seeking a premium experience that feels both exclusive and inclusive.

- App Development & Build:

Take full ownership of the technical development of Circles, from building the backend architecture to coding the front-end interface. You will be hands-on with coding, app deployment, and system integrations.

- AI Integration:

Develop and integrate AI-driven features to personalize networking suggestions, optimize event recommendations, and enhance user engagement. The app should leverage machine learning algorithms to create tailored experiences for each user.

- Scalability & Security:

Build a scalable infrastructure that can handle a growing user base across multiple metropolitan areas. Implement robust security protocols to ensure user data privacy and the integrity of the platform.

- Technical Roadmap:

Define and manage the technical roadmap, making strategic decisions on tech stack, development timelines, and feature priorities. Collaborate with the team to align the product roadmap with business goals and user feedback.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Work closely with the founding team to refine the product vision and feature set. You will also coordinate with marketing and business development efforts to ensure product-market fit and user growth.

Required Skills & Attributes:

- Full-Stack Development Expertise:

Proficiency in full-stack development, including front-end (React, Flutter, etc.) and back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, or similar). Experience with mobile app development for both iOS and Android is critical.

- UX/UI Design:

Strong design sensibility with experience in creating intuitive, high-end user interfaces. You should be able to blend functionality with aesthetics to create an immersive, user-friendly experience.

- AI & Machine Learning:

Experience in implementing AI and machine learning technologies to enhance user engagement and offer personalized content or recommendations.

- Cloud Infrastructure & Security:

Proficiency in cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure, with a solid understanding of data security, encryption, and scaling solutions for large user bases.

- Entrepreneurial Mindset:

You are driven by the idea of building something from the ground up and are comfortable with the uncertainty and challenges that come with a startup. You are a problem solver who is resourceful, adaptable, and results-oriented.

- Team Player & Leader:

You have strong communication skills and can work collaboratively with the founding team while also leading technical initiatives. You are comfortable managing both strategic and hands-on aspects of product development.

- Growth-Focused:

A strong interest in building products that can scale to reach hundreds of thousands of users. You understand how to build technical infrastructure that can grow with the company.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Prior experience as a technical co-founder or lead in a startup.

- Experience in developing social networking, community-building, or professional networking apps.
