Are you an experienced care manager, service manager or registered manager looking for a new challenge? Our client is a leading provider of complex care services in the community, delivering outstanding outcomes and helping people live their life to the fullest. The role of Care Manager is to oversee a cohort of clients across Oxfordshire, training and supervising the care teams to ensure they meet and exceed the required regulatory standards. Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting and inducting Support Workers
  • Supervising and supporting your teams
  • Attending regular meetings with your clients, CCG contacts, peers and management
  • Rota planning
  • Carrying out risk assessments
  • Delivering training to team members
  • Coordinate set up of new care packages
  • Incident management, investigations, disciplinaries and grievances
  • Providing regular reports and updates
  • Cover shifts to support clients
Required Experience:
  • Experience of managing multiple care packages including rota planning
  • Expertise and knowledge of working within the care sector
  • Ideally experience working with complex care conditions such as Spinal Cord Injury, Acquired Brain Injury and Nuerological Conditions
  • The ability to carry out assessments and devise care plans and risk assessments
  • The ability to carry out and document risk assessments
  • Experience of managing Support Workers
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to organise a busy workload and prioritise effectively
  • A working knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance within the care industry
  • A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
  • Experience dealing with complex behaviours
Location: Homebased with frequent travel to clients homes and occasional travel to head office locations in Southampton and Nottingham for team meetings. You will be required to take part in an on call rota as a requirement of the role
