Hours:

Band 8b: 15 hours

Band 8a: 22.5-30 hours

Band 7: 30 hours

Contract: Initial 12-week contract with the possibility of extension until the vacant substantive post is filled.

Start Date: ASAP - End of May/Beginning of June

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments and formulate individualised treatment plans.
  • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to address a range of mental health concerns prevalent in older adults.
  • Collaborate closely with service users, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and coordinated care delivery.
  • Offer consultation and support to colleagues within the team, contributing to the ongoing professional development and learning culture.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.

Requirements:

  • A recognised qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (HCPC registered) for Band 8b/8a positions.
  • For Band 7 positions, a qualification in CBT or Psychological Therapy (BABCP accredited or equivalent) is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in conducting psychological assessments and delivering therapeutic interventions within a clinical setting, preferably with older adults.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of individuals and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to professional development and adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements.
