Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our team in Vale of Glamorgan. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the emotional and mental wellbeing of our learners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized psychological assessments using a variety of methods, including psychometric and neuropsychological assessments, structured interviews, and direct/indirect observations.
  • Deliver tailored psychological therapy based on evidence-based practice, adapting therapy plans as needed to ensure progress.
  • Offer advice and consultation to multi-disciplinary colleagues on clinical matters.
  • Work independently within the British Psychological Society Code of Conduct, Ethical Principles & Guidelines 2004 and HCPC registration policies.
  • Take full professional responsibility for the quality and outcomes of your clinical practice.
  • Contribute to the development and improvement of local team policies and service quality.
  • Support and supervise other professionals and trainees, offering training and guidance as required.
  • Utilize your research skills to contribute to audits, policy development, and service improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical or Educational Psychology, or Professional Registration in a relevant health profession (e.g., Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy) with additional training in psychological therapy.
  • Desirable: Experience working within an educational setting or with young adults.
  • Expertise in delivering psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to a complex client group.
  • Proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to manage highly sensitive situations and communicate complex information persuasively.
  • Experience in clinical supervision and training of other professionals.
