Our client in the Aerospace sector is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Leader to join them on a permanent basis. As a Quality Assurance Leader, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining a robust Quality Improvement System, working closely with various teams to ensure continuous improvement and adherence to quality standards across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Quality Improvement System Development: Enhance and maintain the Quality Improvement System.
  2. Team Collaboration: Develop strong working relationships with team members.
  3. Customer/Supplier Interface: Engage with customers and suppliers, including occasional travel for audits and visits.
  4. Coaching and Facilitation: Lead quality processes and improvement activities using UK principles.
  5. Continuous Improvement: Embed continuous improvement skills within the organization.
  6. Compliance Assurance: Ensure products and services meet customer requirements, quality standards, and airworthiness regulations.
  7. Auditing and Corrective Actions: Conduct product and process audits, analyze results, and implement corrective actions.
  8. Problem-Solving Leadership: Provide coaching on problem-solving tools such as 8Ds.
  9. QRQC System Training: Train and coach teams on the QRQC system.
  10. Quality Liaison: Coordinate with other sites on quality matters.
  11. Customer Complaint Management: Handle customer complaints and ensure timely and effective resolution.
  12. External Audits: Assist with external audit processes.
  13. NPI Support: Perform verification and validation activities for New Product Introductions.
  14. Quality Data Analysis: Analyze quality data and present findings at management reviews.
  15. Continuous Improvement Events: Participate in CI events.
  16. Quality Records Management: Maintain and manage quality records.
Job Requirements:
  • Relevant aerospace qualifications/experience.
  • Familiarity with airworthiness standards and requirements.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at all levels within the Group.
  • Attendance of auditing/part 145/human factors & SMS training courses.
  • Experience with aerospace processes and procedures.
  • Any relevant quality-related qualifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • PC literate with the ability to use software tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical manuals and instructions.
  • Proven ability to achieve set objectives.
