We are looking for Agency Chemotherapy Nurses to work across Hackney and surrounding areas of London. Our client, a nationally recognised specialist provider of Cancer Care, is seeking a Community Chemotherapy Nurse to join their team on a temporary contract of at least 6 months. This unique role allows you to deliver vital oncology treatments to patients in the comfort of their own homes.
As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, you'll enjoy a competitive hourly rate of circa £43-£48 negotiable, working Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week.
Our client is a leading specialist in Cancer Care, known for their innovative approach and commitment to patient-centred treatment. They offer a supportive environment where nurses can thrive, with access to the latest technologies and therapies in oncology.
As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
  • Administering IV and oral chemotherapy treatments
  • Conducting blood tests and toxicity assessments
  • Managing pump disconnections and line care
  • Performing IM/SC injections
  • Collaborating with a wider nursing team while working independently
  • Staying updated with new technologies and therapies
Package and Benefits:
The Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse role offers a comprehensive package, including:
  • Competitive hourly rates of circa £43-£48ph
  • 45p per mile petrol expenses
  • Monday to Friday hours 37.5 8.30am-5.30pm
  • Guaranteed work of 6 months, potentially longer
  • Visiting no more than 4 patients per day
  • Full and comprehensive induction, including 2-3 weeks shadow shifts
The ideal Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse will have:
  • An active NMC Pin as a Registered RGN Nurse
  • Essential experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Chemotherapy
  • Skills in cannulation and venepuncture
  • A valid driving licence
  • A SACT Passport or equivalent qualification
