We are working in partnership with a fantastic service provider in the Wallasey area. They are looking to appoint multiple long-term Residential Child Support Worker staff to help support vulnerable children and young people with emotional and behavioural disorders, Autism, challenging behaviours, and mental health. These services play a vital role in helping to remove barriers for vulnerable children who have experienced trauma. They provide a wrap-around care service which strives to help children in their education and life skills which will see them into adulthood. Being aware of mental health and de-escalation behavioural methods is essential for this role. The Home is a 3-bed home, and you will be working with experienced staff members and outside care agencies to provide excellent levels of care. Your new company This well-established Wallasey-based client aims to bring people together in an environment where they feel comfortable and where they feel safe to openly share knowledge, experiences, opinions, and ideas to improve their lives. You'll play an important part as we face the future with refreshed passion and energy - to make more things possible for more people. Your new role Your new role will require you to care for some of the most vulnerable young people in society. This is a long-term position with the possibility of working full-time or part-time hours with the client looking to ideally take on permanent members of staff. What you'll need to succeed
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Provide at least 2 references
- Have 6 months experience in the last 2 years working with adults or children with similar needs in similar settings, including working in education for other support roles.
- Level 2 or equivalent qualification in health and social care
- Competitive hourly rates of pay of £12.88 + per hour
