Hays are recruiting a Qualified Accountant for a well-established firm of chartered accountants and business advisors, who offer a wide range of services, including auditing, accounting, tax and corporate finance to a diverse client base across the East of England.
Managing the delivery of outsourcing assignments to include review of monthly / quarterly management accounting, preparing cash flow reports, budgets and projections, overseeing and review of bookkeeping, review of VAT returns and assisting clients with VAT queries and tax investigations.
Acting as the overall engagement manager for some clients, which will include liaising with other teams across the firm to facilitate the delivery of annual accounting and corporation tax compliance, payroll, company secretarial services and other advisory services.
Managing a team varied in role, from trainee accountants, assistant accountants and management accountants.
Being the main contact with your client base, being their 'go to' advisor and building those relationships. Taking responsibility for fee discussions and billing.

ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (minimum criteria).
Experience in portfolio management, including delivery of outsourcing services (minimum criteria).
Up-to-date working knowledge of tax including MTD.
Team management experience, including line management.
Strong systems knowledge in Xero, Dext, Approval Max and QBO, including implementation.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and in-depth knowledge of cloud-based systems is essential.
