Health & Safety Manager - Power / Chemical / Marine / Nuclear

Our client are a specialised engineering company who carry out integrated engineering solutions to the power, marine, industrial, offshore sectors and are currently looking to employ a Health & Safety Manager to join their successful team in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Our client are a well-established national engineering company with offices across the UK who provide professional engineering services to the power, waste, chemical, oil/gas, marine and offshore sectors. They specialise in pressure equipment and offer a range of services during equipment design, manufacture, installation, and commissioning. service the Water, Chemical, Power & Marine sectors.

Role Description

This is a full-time office based position with site visits and meetings included.

As the Health and Safety Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations in the workplace. Your day-to-day tasks will include conducting risk assessments, implementing safety policies and procedures, providing safety training, and managing any .

Qualifications

  • Health & Safety and Environment Health and Safety (EHS) knowledge and experience
  • Experience in safety training and implementing safety procedures
  • NEBOSH certification (National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health)
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience working on Power Stations / Biomass Plants
  • Relevant degree or certification in Health and Safety or a related field
