Prospero Teaching are working closely with a mixed secondary school located in Dorset. The school is easily accessible from out of the area.
The school have a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational and enthusiastic Teacher of English to join a high performing, well-established and supportive department where leaders and staff have high ambitions for pupils. Applications from both experienced and Early Career Teachers are encouraged and a comprehensive ECT support package would be available, if appropriate.
The school has invested significantly in training and support for staff and offers excellent facilities and a wide range of extra-curricular activities. There is a regular culture of reading established throughout the school, with reading built into the curriculum outside of English lessons twice a day.

Applications welcome from early careers teacher (ECTs) , as well as MPS and UPS teachers.
CONTRACT DETAILS
Position - Teacher of English
Contract duration - until the end of July 2025. Temp-to-perm contracts available
Full time/part time - Full time, but flexible to offer part-time
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
QTS or equivalent
Minimum 1-year English teaching experience in the UK
Up-to-date safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last 2 years
Prospero Teaching is able to offer the successful candidate:
1:1 Interview and trial day preparation given by our experienced training and development team and qualified teachers.
Free, accredited continued professional development courses.
