About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced English Teacher to join our team at Five Education Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching English to students with Special Educational Needs and Mental Health (SEM) requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and deliver bespoke English curriculum to meet the needs of students with SEM and Autism.
  2. Support students in developing self-regulation techniques and confidence.
  3. Collaborate with the teaching team and management to ensure a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  4. Work with SENCOs and Teaching Assistants to provide additional support to students.
  5. Assess and report student progress to parents and carers.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  2. Experience of teaching English to students with SEM and Autism.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. DBS clearance and relevant safeguarding training.
