Senior Facilities Manager

Up to £92,000 + Bonus + Benefits


Our client, a leading global asset manager, is seeking an experienced and dynamic Facilities Manager to lead and direct their facilities function of one of their large single site's in Stratford, London.


This role is pivotal in ensuring the strategic direction and day-to-day management of planned maintenance and repair programs, as well as managing key supplier contracts to ensure optimum value and delivery.


The role is titled "Senior Facilities Manager" but could easily be called a "Senior Building Manager"/"Operations Manager"/"General Manager" for example in other businesses.


The asset you will oversee is mainly made up of retail however retail experience is not essential and this is much more looking after the "asset" as opposed to retail/shopping centre management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance Plan.
  • Manage and control the Long Term Energy Action Plan (LTEAP) to meet sustainability targets.
  • Oversee key supplier contracts and ensure service delivery levels are maintained.
  • Coordinate energy reporting and work on major energy projects, including renewable energy initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies, and maintain ISO45001 and ISO14001 certifications.
  • Develop and manage annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
  • Lead and manage a team, providing clear guidance and ensuring business and personal objectives are met.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in a Senior Facilities Management role.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Proven negotiating and influencing skills.
  • Relevant safety training and practical experience in health and safety procedures.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in recruitment, training, and performance reviews.
  • Proven experience in budget development and management.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to foster effective working relationships at all levels.
