Trading Operations Support – Front Office - FIX


Excellent opportunity opens for a Trading Operations Support professional with technical skills – FIX/ client onboarding and client facing experience (internal or external) to join an International Leading Trading Firm’s London office.This is a client facing role which requires interaction with our Traders, Compliance, Sales & Marketing, Product Management, Operations and Technology groups, globally.


The Trading Operations Team is responsible for servicing all Front Office desks across the UK and European businesses and independent real-time risk management monitoring of Algorithmic Trading and our in-house Trading Venue.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Understand and advise our clients from a technical perspective on the suite of products and Trading Venues available, including Trading Venue microstructure,
  2. Provide technical and trading support to clients and internal business units with regard to electronic trading products,
  3. Act as pivotal, first point of contact for key issues relating to trading, messaging, risk and coordinate across all the areas of the business,
  4. Compile and communicate key market events to internal trading desks, stakeholders and external clients / Trading Venue members,
  5. Support of electronic trading infrastructure and products - front-end software, FIX protocol channels and networking,
  6. High level of interaction with senior management/clients/traders and Trading Venue members in a transaction intensive environment,
  7. Front line support, dealing with exchange queries and real-time market abuse monitoring, this includes monitoring in real time all algorithmic trading activity for signs of disorderly trading, responding to operational and regulatory issues in a timely manner and initiating remedial action where necessary,
  8. Responsible for real-time monitoring of our Trading Venue algorithmic trading systems in relation to its performance and capacity as well as orders sent by members, to detect potential threats to the orderly functioning of the market.
  9. Coordination of tasks/projects with technology development team including an understanding of change management.


SKILLS & EXPERIENCES ASSESSMENT

  8. Have an understanding of European securities markets and their structure,
  9. Strong MS Excel skills,
  10. Technical experience (FIX),
  11. Ability to explain complex methodologies and workflows concisely.
  12. The candidate should welcome a challenge, embrace change, be creative, work well under tight deadlines and thrive in a team-oriented, results-oriented environment.
