Tsunami Axis is one of Europe’s largest furniture dealer consultants with 8 offices across the EMEA region, specialising in delivering large-scale office furnishing projects across the globe helping to support the creation for great places to work. Axis at Work is our design and build service which stems from decades of Tsunami Axis furniture procurement know-how with operational and creative expertise, to deliver outstanding projects within the Workspace and Hospitality sectors. Supporting every step of the client’s project journey with full fit-out interior design schemes and loose furnishings, our highly skilled and experienced team work closely to specify, procure, deliver and install a project.


Our team of creatives work closely with our clients to create a space that evokes identity, enhances team collaboration and embodies company culture. As a Designer you will work on multiple Interior Design packages, developing the agreed concept design scheme to RIBA 5 construction issue. Working closely with the Head of Design you will develop proposals in line with project scope and budget expectations.


The role would suit someone with experience within Commercial Office Interior Design and a technical understanding of current building and planning regulations. You would carry out a variety of project scales, working closely with consultant teams for design coordination and regulatory approvals, all within tight deadlines. Day to day tasks include spatial design, creating coordinated design packages, attending, and leading client meetings, as well as creating supporting documents. Throughout the design stage and build stage of projects you will be required to attend site visits, surveys, progress meetings and audits.


As this is a client facing role, managing and engaging with the client/architects across various departments throughout all stages of the project, excellent communication skills and experience presenting to clients is essential. The designer, when required, will also partake in other aspects of design to support their colleagues and there is a need for travel to client offices.


Primary Tasks

  • Taking ownership of design packages for client review and approvals
  • Spatial Design development with attention to detail
  • Technical Design coordination and Construction issue packages
  • Liaising with Consultants and Contractors to ensure buildability and coordination
  • Liaising with Manufacturers and suppliers to arrange samples
  • Visualisation and graphics for client presentations
  • Managing and co-ordinating the overall design process from concept to completion
  • Attending briefing meetings and client workshops with the Head of Design
  • Ensuring a high standard of proactive design support and communication with Clients, Consultants and Contractors
  • Attend client meetings and site visits at relevant project stages


Essential Skills:

  • Background/experience within Commercial Office Interior Design
  • Experience in Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
  • Experience in 2D AutoCAD and 3Ds Max/VRay
  • Technical understanding of current building and planning regulations
  • Ability to work with colleagues to deliver project and operational performance
  • Attention to detail and excellent proofing skills
  • Efficient time management and organisation, running multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated high performance standards and meeting deadlines
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable and confident in presenting to clients
  • Self-starting approach and eagerness show initiative
  • Problem solving mindset and willingness to learn and develop further
  • A high level of enthusiasm and creativity is essential

  • Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
