Area Sales Manager

The Purpose of the Role of Area Sales Manager - DIY Products:

The new Area Sales Manager for northern Scotland will be tasked with selling a wide range of DIY and construction consumables such as adhesives and sealants across an established customer base of builders merchants and DIY retailers. On a daily basis you will visit these customers, working in partnership with them to identify and convert opportunities to grow revenue and margin. This will include conducting demonstration mornings to both branch staff and tradesmen and point of sale improvement.

They manufacture in the UK, are very competitively priced and have an outstanding marketing team, enhancing their brand presence. For the position of Area Sales Manager - DIY Products, we are looking for individuals who meet the following criteria:

  • Currently working for a builders merchant in branch, looking for a move into field sales
  • Sales experience
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ambitious and keen to learn
  • You will be enthusiastic with strong relationship building skills and the ability to deal at all levels
  • Driving licence

  • £30,000, rising to £35,000 upon completion of probation
  • C. £8,000 bonus paid monthly
