Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for ambitious professionals to make a name for themselves in the private development sector. You will play a key role in overseeing multiple projects' financial and contractual aspects, ensuring they run smoothly from inception to completion. We want to hear from you if you have Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience and a proven track record in private development

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Oversight: Manage and oversee the entire lifecycle of projects from inception to completion, ensuring all commercial elements are on track and within budget.
  • Contract Management: Lead and manage contract negotiations, ensuring favourable terms and compliance throughout the project.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control project costs, implement cost-saving initiatives, and ensure the effective management of resources.
  • Supplier and Subcontractor Management: Build and maintain a strong network of subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring all parties meet project expectations and deliver on time.
  • System and Process Setup: Establish and implement project systems and processes from the ground up to ensure smooth operations.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including project teams, contractors, and clients, to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
  • Problem-Solving: Tackle challenges head-on, navigating any issues that arise with a solutions-driven approach.
  • Reporting: Provide accurate and timely commercial reports to senior management and owners.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Tier 1 or Tier 2 Experience: Essential, with a proven ability to manage large-scale, high-value projects.
  • Private Development Experience: Must have experience in private development and a strong understanding of the industry.
  • Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated ability to handle contract negotiations and manage budgets effectively.
  • Subcontractor Network: A well-established network of trusted subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Strong Leadership Skills: Taking charge, making decisions, and guiding teams to success under pressure.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Must be able to effectively liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
  • Self-Motivated: A proactive and results-driven attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to overcome obstacles and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
