Company Overview

A scale-up who have pioneered the personal care industry by creating vegan, additive-free personal care products. Their mission is to develop sustainable products that are free from harmful ingredients, packaged with zero single-use plastics, and aligned with the highest ethical standards.

As the company has scaled, they have outgrown its current data infrastructure and is in the process of bringing all its capabilities in-house.


Role and Responsibilities

This Junior Analytics Engineer role will be crucial in helping take full control of the data strategy and infrastructure.

As one of the only people working on data, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of the data infrastructure, and work alongside one other data person to transform how we manage and leverage data.

Your day to day will involve:

  • Ingesting data using Fivetran, ensuring data pipelines are robust, scalable, and efficient.
  • Building, maintaining, and optimising dbt data models and writing complex SQL queries.
  • Managing and optimising data sources and connections, ensuring data integrity and accessibility across teams.
  • Supporting data visualisation efforts with tools like Tableau and ThoughtSpot to deliver actionable insights.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver on ad hoc insights, analytics, and reporting requests.


Key Requirements

To qualify for this role, you will require:

  • Proficiency with dbt for data ingestion and modelling.
  • Advanced SQL skills, with experience managing data sources and pipelines.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (Tableau and/or ThoughtSpot).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data architecture.
  • Proven ability to handle cross-functional projects and communicate insights effectively.
  • Passion for working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with a strong commitment to sustainability.
