Unlock Your Potential as a Staff Analytics Engineer

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Analytics Engineer to join our team at Wave Talent. As a technical authority, you'll play a key role in shaping the analytics strategy and roadmap, while mentoring and coaching less senior team members.

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to work with a world-renowned retailer, transforming raw data into actionable insights. You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading by example and mentoring junior team members
  • Collaborating with the Analytics Manager to develop and implement analytics strategies
  • Designing and implementing data models, ETLs, and data quality metrics
  • Working with security teams to develop advanced analytics and AI solutions
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Expert-level Python and SQL skills
  • Experience with DBT and Airflow (or similar tools)
  • Extensive data warehousing and data lake experience
  • Strong visualisation skills, preferably with Tableau
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
Bonus Points

If you have experience working with security engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders, or have skills in infrastructure automation with Terraform and source code control with Git, that's a definite plus
