We are investing in the provision of a Head of Business Development role working from our Stockport office, which will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and growth trajectory of Reconstruct as a whole. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, the successful candidate will lead the development and execution of business development strategies, identify new opportunities for growth and expansion, and foster strategic partnerships to drive revenue growth and maximise impact.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's vision, mission, and values.

· Lead market research and analysis to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential areas for expansion within the social care sector.

· Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships, collaborations, and funding opportunities with government agencies, local authorities, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders.

· Drive new business acquisition efforts, including identifying and pursuing new contract opportunities, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and leading contract negotiations.

· Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, finance, and marketing, to develop and execute integrated business development initiatives and campaigns.

· Monitor and evaluate business performance against strategic objectives, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.

· Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to raise brand awareness, build relationships, and promote the company's services and expertise.

· Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the business development team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning

· Support with identifying tender bids and completion of tenders.

Personal and Professional Competencies:

· Demonstrable experience in building commercial relationships in the Children and adult social care sectors, also health and education.

· Demonstrable experience of meeting or exceeding targets

· An entrepreneurial spirit and a determination to deliver results.

· Ability to build strong working relationships (internal/external)

· Ability to persuade, influence and negotiate effectively at all levels within and outside the organisation.

· Demonstrable ability to prioritise issues.

· Proven experience as desk-based sales representative

· Ability to learn about products and services and describe/explain them effectively.

· Strong commercial and financial acumen

· Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to turn analysis into actions.

· A strategic thinker, capable of understanding and articulating the breadth of our solutions.

Benefits:

· Salary: £45,000 per annum

· Location: Stockport

· Hours: 35

· Holidays: 25 days (plus bank holiday) increasing with length of service

· Benefits include flexible working, additional leave, excellent pension scheme
