A leading Independent IT Infrastructure and Services Consultancy is looking for a Health & Safety Manager at Heathrow Airport to assist the existing onsite team with regards to onsite processes and procedures. 6-month contract initially, Inside IR35


To join a dynamic team based at Heathrow, overseeing the H&S across the business and projects delivered within the account, which will include main site, Heathrow Airport and providing assistance where required at ad-hoc projects supporting other areas of the business.


Responsibilities

Oversee and ensure all health and safety procedures are adhered to and that all records are accurate and kept up to date.

Supporting the Operations Manager & Project Managers in identifying hazards and managing risks.

Educate employees on required safety standards within the workplace.

Install and nurture a strong H&S culture within the team and 3rd party contractors

Be an initial point of contact for all HSEQ matters.

Driving process adherence and good practice for all HSEQ related topics.

Support with completion of incident investigation, near miss reports and corrective actions.

Undertake routine site inspections and internal audits.

Participate in external audits to maintain standards and accreditations.

Continually assess existing processes and practices and recommend improvements.

Ensure all Health and Safety records and documentation are up to date and accurate.

Provide recommendations for improving safety in the workplace across all locations.

Conducting detailed DSE and manual handling assessments when needed.

Maintain online E-learning programmes.

Organising first aid and site-specific fire training and maintaining records.

Responsible for workplace mental health awareness.

Undertake specific risk assessments.


Qualifications for this role:

- NEBOSH / IOSH - Essential


Skills and experience

Previous experience in a H&S coordinator or admin role essential, understanding of Infrastructure cabling and/or onsite construction processes

Working Knowledge of CDM

Experience and understanding of Health and Safety issues in a construction environment

Experience in an ISO certified management systems.

Excellent communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.

High level of competency in Microsoft office Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Ability to analyse data and identify performance trends.

Ability to prepare complex risk assessments

Experience of conducting internal audits and inspections.

Full clean driver's license.

Exceptional time management and organisational skills.

Ability to work autonomously.

Meticulous attention to detail.

A genuine passion and enthusiasm for Health and Safety.
