Meraki Talent’s rapidly growing client are actively looking for a Portfolio Programme & PMO Manager to design, structure and deliver a programme plan aligned to an ERP delivery. The Portfolio Programme & PMO Manager will effectively have 3 ‘parts’ to their role, PMO/Portfolio Management, People Management of 2 PMs, and Project Delivery on a handful of key programmes requiring delivery and direction. This role would suit an experienced PMO/Portfolio, or Project/Programme Manager, who has both worked within a PMO/Portfolio capacity, as well as personally have delivered projects to successful outcomes. The role is initially due to be a 12 month FTC, but has the potential to be further extended past this date due to an internal long term secondment.


Our client is very open minded as to what sort of sector applicants come from, it’s all about the project/programme management discipline, PMO/Portfolio Management experience, and people management experience.


Please note all applicants need to be happy to work in the Lanarkshire office 3 days each week, so the role will suit someone within a commutable distance of the office, or who is happy to relocate to the area.


Responsibilities of the Portfolio Programme & PMO Manager:


- Design, structure and execute the delivery programme to support the ERP programme

- Design, lead and embed the PMO framework to ensure all projects are managed

- Develop project plans to ensure delivery of requirements within timescales and budget

- Build a strong vendor and partner network that will provide technical expertise

- Manage the programme, establishing and agreeing priorities to deliver benefits and services

- Lead the reporting of project progress and status


Background of the Portfolio Programme & PMO Manager:


- Experience working directly within a PMO, Portfolio essential

- Personal experience of hands-on delivering projects or programmes also essential

- Ability and desire to train and develop other project managers, both experienced and less experienced

- Knowledge of ERP systems helpful

- Exposure working on complex business streams helpful

- Strong governance skills essential

- Strong reporting and organisational skills

- Happy to be based in the office 3 days per week, each week, in Lanarkshire
