The Client:


The client is a boutique insurance brokerage specializing in real estate and property. The firm prides itself on delivering personalized service, expert advice, and bespoke insurance solutions to meet the needs of their clients.


Position Overview:


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Broker to join their team. In this role, you will provide critical support to the senior team, assist in the management of client accounts, and handle claims processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in insurance, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.


This is a role where you will gradually take on more responsibility for your own accounts as you learn, it is ideal for someone who wants to develop into an Account or Client Executive.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Support Senior Brokers:

  • Assist the Client Executives in managing client accounts.
  • Prepare and process insurance documentation, including proposals, renewals, and endorsements.
  • Conduct research and gather information to support the creation of tailored insurance solutions.
  • Maintain and update client records and databases with accuracy and attention to detail.

2. Client Relations:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing inquiries and providing information in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • Assist in the preparation of presentations and reports for client meetings.

3. Claims Handling:

  • Manage the claims process from initial notification to resolution, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Liaise with clients, insurers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation for claims.
  • Provide clients with regular updates on the status of their claims and assist in resolving any issues that arise.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies throughout the claims handling process.

4. Administrative Support:

  • Perform general administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and correspondence.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for senior brokers.
  • Assist in the preparation of marketing materials and client communications.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the insurance industry.
  • An understanding of real estate, property, and HNW insurance markets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and insurance-related software.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
