MacGregor Black is currently partnering with a Leading Merchandising company, on the search for a Commercial Manager. This is a permanent role based in The North of England.


As the Commercial Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and expanding our retail partnerships across both domestic and international markets. In this position, you will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic sales plans, and ensure the successful execution of these initiatives.


The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial management or sales leadership within the general merchandise sector. You should have proven experience in managing large-scale partnerships and navigating international markets.


Key Responsibilities


  • Create and execute strategies for entering and expanding into new international markets.
  • Evaluate and recommend the best partnership models for each market.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement comprehensive market entry plans.
  • Oversee contract negotiations and collaborate with legal teams to finalise agreements.
  • Ensure all UK and international partnerships are executed efficiently and within budget.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance operational processes and support partner success.


What are we looking for?


  • Experienced Commercial Manager or Sales Director.
  • Strong track record in business development, with significant international experience.
  • Proven ability to manage complex partnerships with major retailers.
  • Experience in developing and managing both branded and non-branded product lines.
  • Strong international commercial expertise.
  • Proficient in contract management, from drafting to negotiation, with the ability to work effectively with legal teams.
