Purpose: As the Digital Learning Manager, you will provide specialist expertise to the business by leading the implementation of a best-in-class learning platform and creating and evolving compelling digital and online content that enhances learning experiences and drives our organization forward. Key to the success of this role will be interfacing with and building authentic relationships with operational and functional teams, including the sector Managing Directors, as well as the wider IT and people and culture teams.

Key Accountabilities:

Transformation and Implementation:

  • Lead the transformation project to transition from several learning platforms to one consolidated Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Develop and execute a detailed learning system implementation plan, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure smooth implementation and seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Ensure any existing learning records and data migration is accurate and secure.

Creativity:

  • Curate our digital learning strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders.
  • Create engaging online learning content and pathways tailored to the skills required for current roles, future opportunities, and lifelong learning.
  • Apply sound learning design principles to develop effective digital learning experiences.
  • Innovate with new methods, including video, on-demand content, SCORM, VR, AR, microlearning, and other evolving learning technologies.
  • Experiment with gamification to enhance learning experiences and retention.
  • Focus on individualizing and tailoring learning approaches.
  • Enhance and bring to life content like PowerPoint presentations and videos using principles of adult learning.
  • Script the words and visuals for online storyboards and learning content that authentically represent our organization.
  • Build and design online learning content in collaboration with subject matter experts and external content creators when required.



3. Simplicity:

Own the design process for new online learning from concept to go-live.

Align learning content with our organizational purpose and strategy to strengthen employee connection.

Analyse complex information, processes, and learning needs, and simplify these into engaging learning content.

Create a blueprint for collaborating with stakeholders to identify learning needs and transform them into online content.

Review existing learning content to determine what should be preserved and what can be scaled across the business.

Present clear and simple design concepts and proposed solutions to stakeholders.

Map and build learning pathways and curriculums for key roles, levels, sectors, and functions.

Integrate learning impact and measures into online content during the creation phase.

Develop user-friendly learning dashboards.

Ensure qualifications and licenses are easily tracked, with the capability to forecast future learning requirements.

Adopt a “design once, deploy to many” approach to content development.

4. Challenge, Change, and Evolve:

Support and foster a culture of lifelong learning.

Promote digital literacy across the business.

Develop and implement a change management strategy to facilitate the transition to a new learning platform.

Provide training and support for the smooth adoption of the new learning platform.

Conduct quality reviews and testing of learning assets/programs to ensure they deliver the desired experience.

Actively seek feedback and conduct focus groups to continually improve the online learning experience.

Analyse data and metrics to drive better learning outcomes and impact.

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills:

Essential Experience:

Experienced in online learning curation.

Experience with SCORM requirements and the ability to create SCORM-compliant multimedia files.

Experience in large-scale learning or performance systems implementation and deployment.

Strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and learning technologies.

Expertise in instructional design authoring tools, such as Articulate, Adobe Captivate, or similar software.

Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and other digital learning platforms.

Interpersonal & Communication Skills:

Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.

Attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

Desirable:

Experience with multimedia software, video editing tools, and graphic design software.

Experience using new AI technologies in Learning & Development.

Experience in large-scale organizations.
