Originally founded in 2006, Singer Capital Markets is a boutique investment bank in the UK Small and Mid-Cap market, providing advice to small and medium sized companies on their corporate and financing requirements. We are a privately-owned company made up of c.115 professionals based near the Bank of England.


Role Overview:


We are looking for a driven, highly organised, forward-thinking marketing professional. The successful candidate will lead the responsibility for all marketing activity across Investment Banking and Markets, working closely with leadership and other business stakeholders to deliver high-impact marketing strategies and plans which deliver results aligned to the growth and commercial objectives of the business.


The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and a keen eye for detail with a proven track record in driving consistent quality marketing, communications and events.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Build a deep understanding of the Singer Capital Markets brand, people and product to deliver high-impact campaigns to current and future clients
  • Be fully responsible for the return on marketing budget and develop strong cases for the introduction of new marketing technologies, agency solutions and resources that are beneficial for the efficient delivery of the marketing activities.
  • Pro-actively collaborate with business peers to consistently boost marketing’s impact on Singer Capital Market’s growth goals across all areas of the firm.
  • Source insights on client and prospective audiences to build, challenge and maintain a deep understanding of growth opportunities and apply these to the marketing strategies for maximum impact on client acquisition, retention and awareness.
  • Maintain a comprehensive view and understanding of relevant economic conditions and competitor sets to optimise marketing strategies.
  • Be a valued partner to business leaders contributing to leadership, product and planning decisions, ensuring alignment between marketing and business priorities.
  • Be accountable for generating regular and campaign-specific reporting, leveraging data from the CRM and other analytical platforms, utilising your expertise and knowledge of industry benchmarks to continuously optimise marketing activity and reporting strategy, impacts and risks to business leadership.
  • Lead the sponsorship activities to drive brand awareness for high-impact results that deliver on sponsorship spend and propel the Singer Capital Markets brand to existing and prospective clients, in line with revenue and business objectives.

  • Impeccable planning and prioritisation skills with a desire to be accountable for results and the return on the marketing budget.
  • Ability to work closely with external agencies for content & video curation, maximising budget and ability to seek opportunities for the best use of spend. Must have experience briefing external teams and ensuring consistency and alignment with the Singer Capital Markets brand & strategic vision.
  • Proven digital marketing experience with ability to efficiently create targeted content
  • Proven knowledge on B2B marketing strategy
  • Strong communication skills; excellent creative writing and copy writing skills
  • Strong eye for design – graphic design capabilities advantageous
  • Ability to multi-task and work to tight deadlines

  • Digital Marketing – Email (Dotdigital), Website (experience with Wordpress preferable), Intranet Site (internal), Client Portal (SIREX)
  • Social Media – LinkedIn, X, Vimeo, Instagram
  • Advertising (Below the Line and Above the Line, mainly in connection with Sponsorship activities)
  • Content Curation – Canva (experience preferrable), Powerpoint (experience with Upslide advantageous but not required), Word and Excel.
  • Sponsorships – Times 100 (experience leading sponsorship activities advantageous)
