The Opportunity:


Are you a highly experienced Social Worker with a passion for fostering? We are looking for a Fostering Panel Manager to lead and oversee the smooth, compliant operation of our fostering panels. You'll be integral in ensuring our panels consistently meet legal, regulatory, and internal standards, contributing directly to the recruitment, assessment, and approval of foster carers. You’ll be in a position to drive quality improvements, foster collaboration, and maintain high standards across the Group.


As the Panel Manager, you will:


  • Lead and manage fostering panels across the Group, ensuring they operate within the required legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Continuously monitor and improve panel processes to ensure efficiency, compliance, and positive outcomes.
  • Implement quality initiatives and promote collaborative work across all stakeholders.
  • Ensure the fostering panels contribute meaningfully to carer recruitment, assessment, and approval.

Who We’re Looking For:


You will be a Senior Social Worker with extensive knowledge and experience in the fostering sector. Specifically, you’ll have:


  • A strong understanding of **fostering regulations**, especially those relating to fostering panels and assessments.
  • Hands-on experience with chairing fostering panels, conducting Form F assessments, and working closely with foster carers, children, and their families.
  • Proven decision-making skills, especially in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience managing budgets and ensuring cost-effective delivery of services.
  • A strong commitment to equality and non-discrimination in all aspects of your work.
