Job Title: Group Learning and Development Partner

Reporting to: Group HR Director

Location: Cambridgeshire with travel to other UK and EU sites

Hours of work: Monday - Friday (40 hours onsite)


PURPOSE OF THE ROLE


  • To partner the business to deliver its learning and development objectives aligned to the People Strategy and the Business Strategy.
  • Provide functional direction on Learning and Development practice, procedures, policy, employee and organisational development and best practice in L&D to support the local business region as well as group initiatives.
  • Co-ordinate key projects and develop blended e-learning/ training solutions into the local business regions.
  • Contribute at strategic level, with the Group HR Director, with operational delivery responsibility across all Learning and Development areas.


CORE BUSINESS RESPONSIBILITIES


L&D Partnering - Partner the business by providing expert advice and guidance to managers and staff on all aspects of Learning and Development including organisational development and the delivery of a team based high performance culture. Partners business managers to deliver objectives including organisational development, performance management and talent management.


Learning and talent development - Work with business managers to develop and deliver learning and development plans to close key skill gaps that align with the organisations development plans (including production efficiency plans such as automation). Support the

deployment of career planning processes. Co-ordinate the delivery of training and development interventions utilising internal expertise and external partners.


Talent planning - Develop systematic processes to identify and co-ordinate high potential talent within the organisation to support future resource requirements. Lead the co-ordination of regular talent identification exercises across the organisation in line with agreed principles and aligned with other HR processes.


Performance management - Partner business managers to develop a high performing culture including the effective delivery of performance management processes and systems. Ensures alignment of the performance management process with talent mechanisms to deliver a continuous development process i.e. performance management - talent identification – learning and development etc. e-learning Co-ordinate the development and delivery of e-learning solutions that support the broader L&D plan and the drive efficiency in leaning solutions, particularly, in relation to compliance training.


L&D Projects - Delivery of key projects including Apprenticeships and Graduate programmes (including fostering partnerships with key universities/schools which support delivery of the MM Business strategy i.e. Horticulture, engineering, packaging technology. Support customer projects which are focused on upskilling/sharing of knowledge across customer and MM employee base. Monitor and continuously improve to meet business objectives.


HR team - Work closely with team members as part of the HR Team delivering activity to

achieve objectives according to the Human Resources Strategy.


PERSON PROFILE


  • Qualifications Professional coaching qualification desirable
  • Professional L&D qualification desirable (e.g. CIPD HRD or equivalent)
  • Psychometric testing qualification


Skills and Experience

  • Good working knowledge of L&D process and practice.
  • Experience of working across a multi-functional business i.e. office and production
  • High level of communication skills (written, verbal, presentation)
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft packages, outlook, word, excel and powerpoint.
  • Experience of e-learning systems.
  • Coaching
