Our client have enjoyed success in several European regions, one of these being the UK, and as a result, we’re looking for a Solutions Design Engineer to join the growing team. Reporting to the Senior Solutions Manager for the UK, you’ll be customer-facing, working with eCommerce, 3PL and Retail clients to concept and design complex warehouse automation solutions for order fulfilment.


Role responsibilities:


  • Working with sales to analyse initial customer requirements, sometimes visiting sites to gain valuable insight.
  • Data analysis and aligning this with a portfolio of robotic solutions.
  • Leading warehouse design process, layout and process design.
  • Participate in customer presentations and provide any pre-sale technical support to commercial teams.
  • Working with integrator partners and third-party subcontractors
  • Involvement in coordinating the delivery of the project, aligning with the PM team to make sure what was promised to the customer was delivered.


What we are looking for:


  • 3+ years engineering experience in industries associated with supply chain, logistics & material handling.
  • Experience working with warehouse automation & robotics preferred.
  • Engineering Degree, preferably Industrial or Mechanical but this isn’t a deal-breaker.
  • Possess good skills with CAD systems and strong persuasive and verbal skills.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple Warehouse Automation storage systems and how the design and layout of these are transferred into practice


This position is a remote role and can be fulfilled from anywhere in the UK, there will be around 25% travel to customer sites and trade shows. The basic salary is between £60-70K and there will be an additional bonus of 20%.
