Head of Technology - Major Festival Launch

London/Hybrid

To £90k



We are seeking an experienced Head of Technology to play a pivotal role in the success of launching a major, multi-site, conference festival in London.


This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the entire scope of this hugely innovative digital project, utilising both internal resources and outsourced vendors. A truly CV defining opportunity


As the Head of Technology, you'll oversee technology infrastructure, digital innovations, live streaming and data security.


You'll lead a team to ensure smooth operations, successful digital projects, secure WiFi, and safeguard attendee data. You'll collaborate with external vendors for technology architecture and will be responsible for all 3rd party contracts.




Responsibilities:

• Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a tech strategy aligned with festival goals, enhancing attendee experience, producing faultless live streaming, immersive campaign execution and overall operational efficiency.


• Infrastructure Management: Supervise maintenance and optimization of tech infrastructure across festival sites, including the website and app.


• Digital Innovation: Drive development of engaging digital experiences like mobile apps and VR applications whilst also supporting all paid partnerships with their innovation/immersive digital experiences


• WiFi Connectivity: Ensure reliable WiFi across venues for attendees and exhibitors


• Data Security: Implement robust data security measures for GDPR compliance and protection against cyber threats and website hacks


• Data Management: Establish protocols for data collection, storage, and analysis while respecting privacy regulations.


• Vendor Management: Collaborate with vendors to source and manage solutions within budget.




Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's preferred.

• Senior tech leadership experience in events.

• Strong knowledge of networking, cybersecurity, and emerging tech.

• Experience with large-scale projects, vendors, and budgets.

• Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.

• Adaptability to dynamic environments.
