We are looking for a Head of Technology who will ensure that the Technology services and projects delivered to the firm are in line with leading industry expectations.

**Team Overview**

Our professional support technology team are fast-moving, and provide the technology to enable our colleagues to work efficiently from anywhere. Alongside a busy support function, we introduce exciting modern technology to the firm, providing new tools and innovative solutions to assist with the growth and development of Buzzacott.

**Role Overview**

The Head of Technology will set our Technology strategy, lead the people within the Technology team, and provide the expertise to the business for all things Technology related.

**Key aspects of the role**:

- This will be a senior role operating at Partner level.
- The role holder will be a part of Buzzacott's Executive Committee (Exec), attending Exec meetings, working with and reporting to, an Equity Partner (EP) responsible for Technology.
- Responsibility for assisting the Exec in formulating the firm’s strategy and in building, maintaining and communicating the firm’s Technology plans.
- Management of budgets, suppliers, policies and alignment to best practice and industry standards.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Deliver the Technology strategy to support the firm’s continued growth and progression, including digitalisation of the firms day to day operations.
- Oversee all IT operations and Project Delivery activities.
- Creation of and development of operating frameworks for how Technology functions operate, covering Service and Support, Project Delivery, InfoSec (Outsourced) and any future team areas.
- Work with Business leadership teams to understand their challenges, bringing them into the Technology function to deliver solutions.
- Lead the Senior Technology team whilst providing coaching, direction, guidance and training to Technology team colleagues.
- Create, establish and maintain Technology policies, processes and systems to support the Technology strategy.
- Continually identify and eliminate security risks as well as identify vulnerabilities, potential upgrades and opportunities to improve systems.
- Deliver regular progress reports to Exec members and provide Technology insights.
- Support and participate in working groups and internal committees to provide Technology insight and steering.
- Being pro-active and looking ahead at innovative technologies to support delivery of Technology strategy

**Skills and Experience**:

- Demonstrable leadership experience involving line management of senior managers.
- Significant and well-rounded experience working in IT operations overseeing large IT projects and controlling budgets.
- Experience within transformation (digital and cultural) and/or change management, as well as experience in analysis and implementation of IT systems.
- Advanced stakeholder management skills and awareness with negotiating and influencing skills.
- Microsoft technology stack experience, and Microsoft Security technology stack covering cloud products.
- Project management certification plus record of delivery of successful projects.
- Sound understanding of current and future Technology capability with the desire to automate and think of the wider picture.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a sociable, calm and methodical approach.
