Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Assistant Building Manager to join our team at a prestigious, multi-let, trophy building in Central London. This is a busy role, supporting the Building Manager with the day-to-day operations of a vibrant and high-activity building that requires significant attention and care. You will be actively involved in project work, overseeing maintenance, ensuring health and safety compliance, and coordinating with a variety of stakeholders, including contractors, occupiers, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in overseeing the daily operations of a busy, high-profile building, ensuring it is well-maintained and operational.
- Coordinate with contractors and occupiers on numerous ongoing projects to ensure timely and efficient completion.
- Act as the main point of contact for visitors, tenants, and service providers, addressing and resolving any issues that arise.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting regular inspections and audits.
- Support the Building Manager in managing the service charge budget, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effective operations.
- Assist with the organization, planning, and execution of various building-related projects and activities.
- Provide administrative support, including documentation, reporting, and communication with all stakeholders.
Ideal Candidate:
- At least 5 years of experience in facilities management, building management, or a related field.
- Technical knowledge of property management and an understanding of building maintenance needs.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Awareness of health and safety regulations and the ability to ensure compliance.
- Proficiency in IT and familiarity with various software tools.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work independently, handle pressure, and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
