The Role

The Marketing Activation Manager develops and delivers marketing plans for prioritized products and use cases in their assigned markets, ensuring alignment with global strategies while tailoring to local needs. They collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners, including distributors, to implement these plans effectively.

Key responsibilities include gathering local market intelligence, supporting strategic plan development, and creating resources that address specific customer segments. They work closely with sales teams to ensure competent execution of the strategy, providing necessary training and monitoring activities for continuous improvement.

Additionally, the role oversees the execution of exhibitions and events, coordinating with the Global Exhibitions and Events Executive and the Creative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for inputting and shaping the 5-year strategy plan, alongside the Head of Global Marketing.
  • Decide on the timing and extent of projects to ensure they are proactively managed.
  • Recommends the budget for annual launches and new product plans.
  • Gather local IPC practices, unmet needs, market knowledge, customer insights, and competitive intelligence to shape category strategy, sales targets, and value propositions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to collect market size, share estimation, and sales performance data.
  • Ensure activity plans address market needs for prioritized products, balancing efforts to maintain existing business, grow accounts, and win new business.
  • Partner with Sales, Regulatory, Clinical, and Creative teams to develop marketing assets and customer solutions.
  • Provide clear briefs and collaborate with the Creative Team (or agencies) to deliver solutions.
  • Localize and implement international assets in coordination with global marketing colleagues.
  • Partner with Sales Managers and distributors to execute the commercial strategy.
  • Manage product portfolios and execute new product launches.
  • Deliver sales-support material and training for the Sales Team.
  • Oversee exhibitions and events, working with the Global Exhibitions and Events Executive and the Creative team.
  • Lead cross-functional project teams to ensure timely and budget-conscious initiative delivery.
  • Apply commercial and financial acumen to guide projects and achieve growth.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous background in medical device and sciences.
  • Scientific, marketing or business discipline degree.
  • Experience collaborating cross functionally to ensure deliverables are fit for purpose and adapted to meet business requirements.
  • Experience managing marketing initiatives, creating and delivering a full breadth of brand assets.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulatory environments, including the promotion of healthcare products in Pharmaceutical, medical device and cosmetic products.
  • Track record of contributing to strategic brand planning.
