Our client, an Educational Establishment located in Tunbridge Wells is seeking a suitably skilled, reliable and self-motivated Caretaker to join their friendly and well-respected Site Team.
Hours:weekly shift patterns (with a 30-minute lunch)
6am 2pm
7.30am 3.30pm
11.30am-7.30pm
Any overtime hours will be paid at the appropriate rate. This is an all-year-round full-time post, 37 hours per week, 27 days holiday.
You would be responsible for assisting in the cleaning, maintenance, and caretaking activities at the school, as directed by the Facilities Manager and Head Caretaker. You would be expected to have experience in building maintenance and cleaning and skills in several caretaking disciplines.
The successful candidate will need to be flexible and self-motivated, have good communication skills and a good understanding of the health and safety requirements of a large site. Previous experience of working in a school would be advantageous but is not essential. There will be a need for good time management, to prioritise duties and work on their own initiative. The successful candidate will ensure the school site is maintained to the highest standard.
