We are looking for an experienced (minimum 1 year) SEN Support Worker to join a leading Alternative Education Provider based in Wokingham. This privately owned provider is renowned for it’s high level standards in both the care of their children, but also the rewarding, progressive and personalised development of their staff.

For this role you will need to have demonstrated experience working with SEN children or young people in a care/education/recreation capacity in a similar environment. We’re looking for someone who enjoys being part of each care user’s development and is able to handle difficult situations in which they’ll be required to think on their feet to de-escalate.

As an Outreach Worker you will:

  • Provide support for children (and their families) at risk of permanent exclusion. Either in a group or 1:1 within an educational setting in our centre
  • To provide outreach support to students in most need, who are unable to access education by identifying, assessing and evaluating the outcome of the impact the intervention has achieved
  • Have experience of working with children with autism / PDA / ADHD / anxiety
  • Be able to understand the scope of individual learner specific requirements

Confidence to positively resolve issues with learners, families and team members.
