Interim Finance Director – Immediate Start - £800 to £1,000 per day

Our client is a £50 million turnover, multinational media services group whose Head Office is located in Buckinghamshire.

Reporting to the CEO and with a small team reporting in, the Finance Director will be responsible for the global finance function which in the UK consists of a Financial Controller, a Finance Manager and a small Finance team. There are also overseas finance teams, in the US and other key markets as well as outsourced finance provision in the organisation’s smaller international markets.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing monthly reports to the Board with commentary versus budget and last year.
  • Coordinate activities and priorities within the finance team including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, financial planning and reporting.
  • Liaise closely with business unit finance teams to ensure efficient monthly close-out process and support with group requirements.
  • Working closely with the CEO on day-to-day operational financial matters including arranging lease finance.
  • Cashflow management.
  • Ensure compliance with corporation tax and VAT filing requirements.
  • Support with ad hoc operational and broader finance projects.
  • Support with M&A activities and potentially on refinancing the Group.
  • Work closely with the senior management team.

Person Specification:

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification).
  • Experience of overseeing end-to end accounting and finance in a hands-on capacity.
  • Experience of working in an international business.
  • Familiar with managing cashflow tightly.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where information is not always perfect.
  • Strong problem solving, attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Team player, results driven, willing to make an impact and highly motivated.
  • Experience of asset backed leasing would be desirable.
