Hybrid Working - Flexible - Hampshire.

The Head of DevOps will lead SAP & Non-SAP Development teams - this is a Managerial role.

Skills Experience Required:

  • DevOps - Managerial Level - Leading DevOps Teams - ideally SAP & Non-SAP Development teams.
  • Leading SAP ABAP programming - ABAP Objects, BAPIs & RFCs -Transports & Practices.
  • Leading SAP & Non-SAP Developers - leading design, implementation & maintenance.
  • Leadership - Coaching, mentoring SAP & Non-SAP Developers.
  • DevOps Principles - strong knowledge.
  • DevOps - implementing DevOps Best Practices - improve efficiency, reliability & scalability.
  • Developing & Implementing DevOps Strategies & Processes - streamline workflows.
  • Lead delivery & development Continuous Improvement - Tech Stack - Amazon Web Services (Mongo, Express, React & Node), SAP ABAP Development on SAP ECC6.
  • SAP Development Tools - ABAP Development Workbench, Eclipse ADT & SAP HANA Studio.
  • Public Cloud - AWS (ideally) & SAP Landscape awareness.
  • CI/CD - Implementing & managing CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Managing SAP Transports - coordinating with SAP BASIS teams - System Configuration & Release Management.
  • Ideally - experience with JavaScript, TypeScript & Node.js.
  • Ideally - knowledge of Python based platforms.
  • Conducting Code Reviews.
  • Application Roadmap - determine & maintain Short & Long-Range Application Roadmap.
  • Collaborating with Development, Operations & QA teams.
  • Managing Release Cycles.
  • Third Parties - partner with external IT/Tech providers.
  • Security Best Practices.
  • Agile Methodology - planning, prioritisation, resource management etc.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving skills.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal skills.

Desirable Experience:

  • CI Jenkins, GitLab & CI/CD.
  • Operational Technology Processes & PLCs - Programmable Logic Controllers.
  • Legacy Lotus Domino platforms - migration from Legacy platforms.
